In the Hawaiian Language, Holo Kohola means fast whale. By using Holo as our race mascot we hope to raise awareness to the world's fragile eco system through the eyes of our most majestic sea creature - the whale. By making him fast, we will encourage you to train hard and run with Holo, improving your own health and fitness and enhancing your awareness of the beauty and fragility of the Hawaiian Islands.

One example of this is providing runners with a reuseable souvenir tote bag for your packet pickup and race memorabilia instead of the more frequently used plastic. Our aim is to have products that are either reuseable or reclycleable thus minimizing waste. We will also provide information on how every participant can help us make this event very eco-friendly.

We have designed beautiful courses that show off the best of Southern Maui. All of the races start and finish at Kalama Beach Park in Kihei with views of both ocean and mountains. All races stay within Kihei or wind through neighboring Wailea with spectacular ocean and volcano views.
